Join us for a chat with researchers and professors to find out who they are, how they got interested in this field, and learn about their work on chemistry’s use in ecology: how mercury used in artisanal gold mining affects food webs in the Peruvian Amazon; how seed chemistry and size influence seed fates in a Costa Rican rainforest; and how chemical theory can be linked to real-world ecological applications in a U.S. Chemistry course at a college for neurodivergent students.
You’ll also be introduced to an open-access, online resource library of learning modules in tropical ecology. Instructor resources available. This event is a collaboration between OCELOTS and The Virtual Field
