Waukesha Field Station: Site 2 Spring 2022 – Creek, Wet Prairie and Riparian Forest

Creek with riparian forest in Wisconsin, USA. Scuppernong Creek is a cold-water creek and hosts a trout population. Along the creek is a riparian corridor with a number of large, old oaks that is currently undergoing restoration efforts to remove invasive species. On the other side of the creek is wet prairie habitat, home to a number of sedges and water-tolerant prairie plants.
