Within Capitol Reef National Park, Pleasant Creek flows from Boulder Mountain (in the West), toward the Henry Mountains (to the East). This is a main corridor of travel through the Waterpocket Fold and any wildlife that can be found at 10,000′ can make its way down inside the park boundary using this route.
