China Camp San Francisco Bay NERR: Site 2 Brackish Wetland Winter 2021

“You are in the tidal mudflats of San Rafael, California at low tide. Surrounding you scattered rocks with attached organisms such as seaweed, only visible at low tide. The area of tidal marshlands consists of ancient marsh, as well as marsh that formed in the late 1800s due to accumulation of hydraulic mining debris from the Sierra Nevada.
