Tanglewood Biological Station: Site 1 Spring 2022 – Temperate Stream

Headwater stream and riparian zone in the upper coastal plain of Western Alabama. In the forested northern portion of Alabama’s Upper Coastal Plain, soils are mostly derived from deep sands and clays. Oak-hickory-pine forest is the most prevalent forest type.
