Toolik Field Station: Site 4 Autumn 2025 – Toolik Lake Outlet

Here we are at the Toolik Lake outlet, located at the northeast end of the lake. In the northern foothills of the Brooks Range. This ecosystem hosts fish like Arctic grayling and lake trout, as well as zooplankton. The outlet usually thaws around May and it freezes until late October.
